The Art Gallery of South Australia in Adelaide (AGSA), home to a magnificent collection of Australian and international art, hosts a regular program of exhibitions from some of the world’s most prestigious museums and galleries (the Tate Gallery, the Victoria & Albert Museum, etc). From October 25, 2014 to February 15, 2015, it has presented an exclusive exhibition specially designed by Les Arts Décoratifs, tracing almost seventy years of Paris-based fashion creation. Opening with a stunning display featuring the Adelaide evening gown – emblematic of Christian Dior and considered one of the most glamorous of its time – the exhibition, curated by Pamela Golbin and designed by Christian Biecher, showcases iconic models by the greatest couturiers: Givenchy, Gabrielle Chanel, Balenciaga, Christian Lacroix, Jean Paul Gaultier and many more besides.
