With a collection of over 700,000 pieces grouped by period and theme into nine departments, Les Arts Décoratifs presents masterpieces of French decorative arts spanning the Middle Ages to the present day. Showcased in our permanent exhibition galleries and regularly shown in temporary exhibitions, these works can be enjoyed by French and international visitors alike.

Today we would like to go further, by opening the doors of our museum to exhibition developers, curators and organizers the world over who dream of finding inspiration there for the creation of touring exhibitions. These projects, prepared in close collaboration with our curators, will be specifically geared to their target audiences.

Two of these original, made-to-measure exhibitions have already been held: Fashion Icons, at the Art Gallery of South Australia in Adelaide and The Art of Living in Eighteenth-Century France, at the Seoul Arts Center in Korea.

Whether you want to present an overview of French decorative arts, spotlight a particular period in the history of fashion or furniture or focus on a particular type of object, please feel free to contact our teams who will be happy to discuss your ideas and help you develop your projects.
