From the 1820s onward, new color harmonies appeared in French interiors which featured the pale tones of light wood furniture alongside the shimmering colors of wallpapers and opaline glass. The walls of this room with its large selection of opaline glassware are decorated with the Rinaldo and Armida panoramic wallpaper by Joseph Dufour. In the center is the ceremonial cradle of the Duc de Bordeaux, a masterpiece in wood and bronze.
